Well, that was the 23rd. It was a cold, rainy, Monday night...perfect for some hot blues!
Clearly it was more than I had expected. I had read Tone Quest's report on him and had listened to him for several days.
I knew that his live show was "the thing" from the multiple recordings I got from the Guitar Stand, OKC. Maybe I didn't
reliaze it would be like going to a Dead show and seeing the light! Joe might not have been happy without his regular
amps but my ears were very happy with what they heard!
On the 24th we headed down to the Guitar Stand again for a little demo session with Joe. He
got to play nearly all of our effects or mods. Much to my surprise and happiness he was most interested in the Compressor,
Fuzz Head and Java Boost. He liked the blues driver and tube screamer, but kept the other three!
Here's a couple shots of me and Joe. He's the one that knows how to play the guitar. I'm
happy to be along for the chord-work ride!
